~ The Parties ~

 


We decided to throw a little party for both me and Akihiro. Hiro even flew my best friends from Yokohama by buying them tickets so that they could attend my Bachelorette Party as they call it that way here in USA. As usual, Hiro always know all about me, he knows that I don't socialize well...so with my condition, there's no way we're going back to Japan, I was brought here in the first place so that I would get the best treatment for my cancer, that's why we decided to get married here, so that I could keep up with the routine check-up.

Well...for my little party, I decided to make it small but meaningful. So me and my three bestfriends, Chiaki, the twins...Mai and Miu Sakurako were having this small dinner at the back garden of Akihiro's House while he was away attending his own Bachelor Party. We caught up with everything...from my friends' lives, my family's condition, my lovely village Yokohama, everything.....

They said they were jealous with me for being able to live in America, being able to get married to a handsome and rich young man like Akihiro and so much more....but deep down inside, what they didn't know I'm jealous with them even more....for being able to see sunrise and sunset year after year....unlike me....I didn't even know when would be my last sunrise and sunset.....



We were still chatting, joking and laughing around when suddenly I felt something wrong with me.....my sight got blurred and I felt dizzy. I didn't want to make them panic, that's why I excused myself from the party. But as I was standing up from the chair, I felt something running down my nose. I touched it, and saw BLOOD on my finger....I didn't know what happened to me next when suddenly I lost my consciousness. Screaming and Crying of my friends were the last things I heard before everything went black!


Meanwhile, things were getting wild at Akihiro's Bachelor Party. After drinking alcohols, things were getting hotter there. With loud music and the presence of strippers, it wasn't that surprising when no one heard the phone call, trying to reach out Akihiro for Yuko's condition.

Akihiro were a little dizzy when he realized he was sitting in the couch, shirtless as the blonde stripper in nurse outfit had taken off his shirt.
"Okay...I think thing's getting a little complicated that we planned" Akihiro said when the blonde stripper suddenly sat on his laps.
"Oh it's okay handsome...it's your Bachelor Party after all...you can do ANYTHING you want before your wife forbid you from doing things that you wanna do" the blonde stripper wouldn't let Akihiro go just like that, for she had taken a liking in him during the party, and she wanted him to be hers for that night.
"Look...I love my fiancee, there's no way I'm doing it with a woman but her, I don't want to betray her trust" Akihiro tried to fend her off but she wouldn't go.
"Oh puh-lease handsome, you're living in what era ? of course men could have sex with any women he wants now...." the blonde stripper whispered as she caressed Akihiro's cheek.
"Look...excuse me, but I think my phone rings..." Akihiro said when looked at his cell phone, lying on the floor. He couldn't hear the ring due to loud noises the speakers were making, but he could see from the his cell-phone screen that someone was trying to call him.
"Just forget about the d*mn cell phone, it's your party...ENJOY! I promise I will make it unforgettable" the blonde stripper smiled as she tried to kiss Akihiro with his big collagen lips.
"It could be from Yuko you know...!" Akihiro avoided her kiss.
"Oh so that's the name of the SICK woman ? just forget her, I bet she can't satisfy you unlike what I can do to you sugar pie..." the blonde stripper still didn't want to let Akihiro away from her seduction.
"What DID you call her ?!!" it was in that moment, Akihiro lost his patience when he heard someone addressed Yuko like that, "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!" Akihiro suddenly pushed her down onto the floor.
"Hey...hey what's happening here?" Akihiro's pals were surprised with this incident.
"He can't forget that SICK woman apparantly!" The blonde stripper complained with anger.
"Stop calling Yuko like that! Who told you about her ?!" Akihiro yelled.
"Him!" The Blonde Stripper pointed at the man with scorpion tattoo.
"You ?!" Akihiro turned to his friend with anger.
"Easy easy man....I was just trying to help you out man...I know you haven't gotten any from your sick girlfriend right ?" He smirked.
Everyone was screaming suddenly when Akihiro landed a fist on his cheek. "I said...don't call Yuko like that...you know what, I think I'm done with this party!" Akihiro grabbed his shirt and cell phone and left that place.
On the way to his car, Akihiro checked his cell phone, apparantly there were more than ten missed calls, all were from the same number. Yuko's number. He quickly called her back, but he got worried when he heard someone else's voice. 
"Is this Yuko's number ?" He tried to make sure first,
"Yes it's Yuko's number. Hiro right ? where the heck have you been ? I've tried to call you over and over again but you didn't pick up your phone, don't you know what happened to Yuko ?! she passed out and she's in the hospital right now! the doctor said that she's in critical situation..." the girl in the cell phone screamed in panic. 


On the way to the hospital, flashes from the past came before Akihiro's eyes. From the moment he met Yuko for the first time, the moment when he left her without saying any words, the moment when they met again after several years, the moment when they shared their first kiss, and other important moments in his life with Yuko....and the thought of he might not able to see her for the very last time tortured his heart.
He blamed himself for not picking the cell phone when Yuko was in critical situation, and if something bad would happen to her, he wouldn't forgive himself. 
After he parked his car, he ran as fast as he can to find the room where Yuko was treated. As soon as he found the info he needed from the receptionist, he ran like mad down the hall, not seeming to care everyone's protest and shout. In his head, he only had one wish at the moment......please don't take her from me now!


When he opened the door, and saw her...Yuko lying peacefully in the hospital bed, Hiro collapsed to the floor, kneeling down while crying......"Thank you...." he whispered with deep voice.
Akihiro stood up, and approached the bed, seeing her like that...lying and breathing peacefully made him sad even more...what if one day he couldn't see her like that anymore ? what if someday she wouldn't be there when he wanted to see her ? what if ... what if ... so many 'what if' to the answers that he didn't know yet...or perhaps he didn't want to know....

After consuted with the doctors, Hiro learned that Yuko's condition was getting worse and worse....and it's about time she needed a bone marrow transplant, and the real question was...would they find the perfect donor for her in time ? Hiro offered himself to be a donor, but he needed to undergo a surgery to find out whether he matched or not.

It was eleven o'clock in the night, when I regained my consciousness. I was surprised to see Hiro was lying beside me, holding my hand like he didn't want to let me go. My eyes filled with tears rightaway for I must have made him worry with my condition. That night was supposed to be a Party Night for both of us...but yet we spent that night at the hospital room.

"Yuko...why you're so stupid, all you have to do is just making everyone worried. Hiro...have you ever regretted your choice for marrying me ? All I ever brought to you was only sorrow...." I whispered as I blamed myself. Hiro didn't reply, of course he didn't...he was sleeping peacefully. I looked at him, even in his sleep, he was still handsome as always. But it wasn't his face that captured my heart...it was his heart...which was as beautiful as his face was.
"Hiro...be happy for me okay....please promise me you will always be happy even though I'm not around you anymore...." I whispered to him even though I knew he wouldn't hear that.



Suddenly he shifted around, I closed my eyes immediately so that he would think I was asleep. The next thing I knew, he was putting his arms around me and holding me closer to him. 
"Hmmm....you always smelled so nice Yuko...I would die just to be able to smell your scent everyday. You're not stupid my love, you're just so innocent for this cruel world...and I never regretted my decision to be with you, cause you only brought happiness to my empty life. So promise me....never leave me...'cause I don't want to live without you, I won't be happy if you're not around me anymore..." Hiro murmured in his sleep, DID he hear all those words I was saying ?

My heart beat faster when he suddenly opened his eyes, looking deeply into my eyes. "I......" I wanted to say something but he just locked my lips with his. I closed my eyes as we both kissed, if this what they call heaven, then I never wanted to open my eyes...and let the time stood still....but I know it wasn't, I opened my teary eyes....my heart cried even more for I knew that he wouldn't be happy when I wasn't around him anymore...I really really wanted to stay with him...but deep down inside I know for sure...that the time when I had to leave him for good had almost come!!!
